"Memoria Contaminado" (Contaminated memory), is a visual interpretation, on memory and how we perceive it.

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

This series was produced last summer, from an image collection made with an iPhone. I wanted to create a simple visual journal from a daily collection.

The images are roughly cut and assembled in the form of a collage with a few fragments from what I remember. How I feel about his memories from what I've been through.

We know that this representation is relative, and that it is mathematically impossible to define. It contaminates the perception, hence the title: "Memoria Contaminado"

Our brain perceives much better, the immediate actions that take place around us, based on the information gathered by our senses.

Our visual memory also works like this, like a mental image captured by our gaze and our mind, which can alter the way we see things, for example through music we can interpret different facial expressions.

It fascinates me, our ability to see and remember what we have chosen to keep, allows us to understand that everything seems relative.

I remember last summer ... but what about those memories? So here's what I remember ...

This series is an attempt at a "visual journal", as explained previously, by documenting what I felt at that precise moment with this memory alteration.

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

It is called "Memoria Contaminado" (contaminated memory) and shows some of my visual interpretation about memory and how we perceive that.

This series were made last summer, from an collection of Iphone pictures. I wanted to put together a simple visual journal out of that collections of days.

It is roughly cut and recollected, parts collaged together with some fragments of what I remember. How I perceive the memories of how it was.

We know that perception is relative and that it`s mathematically impossible. It also contaminates perception, therefor the title Memoria Contaminado.

We perceive the brains best guess of what is actually happening around us, based on the information it receives through the senses. Visual working memory also works like that so mental images in the mind`s eye can alter the way we see things, music for instance change the way we regard facial expressions. This fascinates me, and the fact that we might see and remember what we choose to, makes everything seems so much more relative. I remember last year summer, but what of it did actually happen in my memory, the way I remember it. This series is an attempt to make an visual diary as said before, to both document what I feel did happen and then experiment with my alterations around that.
